Brooklyn drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning plating one baserunner on 2 base hits. Hoerner drew a walk. Zach McKinstry was next and he laced a base-knock. Riley Greene then laced a single scoring the run. Greene took second on the throw. Fairburn went down quietly in the bottom of the 9th. Berlin took the lead off Cole Ragans in the first inning with 3 runs utilizing 4 base hits. Maikel Garcia led off the inning for Berlin when he ripped a one-base hit. Diaz stepped into the batter's box and he slapped a base-hit. Bo Bichette then launched a three-run homer. That early run support was all that Luis Severino(3-1) required. It was a good day for San Antonio thanks to Shohei Ohtani. He tripled which plated a run in the 1st inning, smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 6th inning and doubled in the 8th inning. Los Alamitos had 9 hits in the game while San Antonio had 5, but San Antonio had the more timely hits. The winning pitcher was Seth Lugo(1-3) who allowed 3 runs in 8 innings. Lugo got help from Ronny Henriquez who earned his 7th save. The losing pitcher was Tomoyuki Sugano(4-2). He allowed just 5 runs and 4 hits in 7 innings.
