Goldschmidt punished Pensacola with his bat. He delivered a solo blast in the 2nd inning, doubled resulting in a run in the 3rd inning, hit a bases-empty home run in the 6th inning and tripled in the 8th inning. Pensacola made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across. Dennis Santana(2-0) went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Evan Phillips gained credit for his 1st save. The loss was charged to Chris Sale(2-2). He gave up 5 runs in 6 innings and saw his ERA jump from 3.94 to 4.29. 'I was in my hotel room the other night, working on my swing and made some adjustments,' Goldschmidt said. 'I'm always working on it. If they are getting you out certain ways, you've got to make changes.' Kelowna rapped out 10 hits for the night. The win was credited to Pierson Ohl(1-0) who went 3 innings allowing 2 runs. Matt Svanson got the save, his 8th. Justin Verlander(0-2) ended up with the loss. Sheboygan brought 2 runs across the plate in the top of the 4th inning. Neither team managed to score after the 4th inning. A.J. Minter earned the save, his 6th. The Sheboygan ballclub's record now stands at 16-14. Vancouver has a record of 13-17 after the loss. Brant Hurter(1-0) won the game with a masterful relief performance. No one was able to reach base in his 1 and 1/3 innings. Branson managed 9 hits in their victory. Hurter got relief help from Justin Sterner who gained credit for his 5th save. Jameson Taillon(1-2) was charged with the loss. He allowed 3 homeruns in 1 and 1/3 innings of work.

Alamo City Park.
 
Lucas Giolito(2-3) gave a fine effort for San Antonio.  He surrendered 9 hits
and 4 walks in 8 innings dropping his ERA from 4.78 to 3.93.  San Antonio had
7 hits for the night.  
 
Ronny Henriquez recorded his 6th save.  Bailey Ober(0-4) was given the loss.
He pitched 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 6 hits and 1 walk.

Drew Rasmussen had a strong outing as the Casper Giants defeated the Santa
Catalina Cowboys 3 to 2 at Fairgrounds Coliseum.
 
Rasmussen(5-1) delivered a fine performance for Casper.  He went 6 innings and
surrended up 3 hits and no walks.  Santa Catalina was out-hit by Casper, 7
hits to 3.  
 
Manuel Rodriguez earned his 3rd save.  Bryan Woo(1-5) suffered the loss.  He
surrendered 3 runs and 6 hits in 5 and 1/3 innings.
